Recipe for musk fudge

The ingredients for musk fudge are prepared in a slow cooker. Here’s a recipe for musk fudge that uses similar ingredients:

Christening my new Westinghouse 3 pot slow cooker with musk fudge. In hindsight I didn’t realise it would take up so much of the bowl 🤣. Had planned to use 3 packets of white choc but they won’t fit.
2 packets white choc melts
2 bags of musk sticks
Tin of condensed milk
25g butter
1tsp vanilla.
Typically it cooks for 1.5 hours in my other SC on low. Stir occasionally and pour into a lined tray to set in the fridge.

Ingredients

2 packets of white chocolate melts (400g)
2 bags of musk sticks (400g)
1 tin of condensed milk (395g)
25g butter
1 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

Place all of the ingredients in your slow cooker.
Cook on high for around 1 hour 30 minutes, or until the mixture begins to form a crust on top. Make sure to stir the mixture every 10 minutes with the lid off while it cooks.
Pour the mixture into a baking dish lined with baking paper and refrigerate until set.
For this recipe, it is recommended to use a slow cooker that is larger than the one you are using in the image. This is because the mixture will expand as it cooks.

the ingredients prepped for some delicious musk fudge in your new Westinghouse slow cooker! Here’s how to make it, keeping in mind the size constraint:

Instructions:

Reduce the white chocolate: Since your slow cooker is a bit smaller, it’s wise to reduce the white chocolate from 3 packets to the 2 packets of white chocolate melts (400g) you already have.

Combine ingredients: Add all the ingredients – the 2 packets of white chocolate melts, 2 bags of musk sticks, 1 tin of condensed milk (395g), 25g butter, and 1 tsp vanilla extract – to your slow cooker.

Slow cook on high: Cook the mixture on high for around 1 hour (instead of 1.5 hours). Keep a close eye on it, as it might cook faster in your new slow cooker.

Look for thickening: Watch for the fudge to thicken and start forming a crust on top. This indicates it’s nearing completion.

Stir occasionally: While it cooks, stir the mixture every 10 minutes with the lid off, just like you would in your other slow cooker. This helps prevent scorching and ensures even cooking.

Set the fudge: Once the fudge is thickened and has a slight crust, it’s ready.

Pour and refrigerate: Pour the hot fudge into a baking dish lined with baking paper. Refrigerate for several hours, or until completely set, before enjoying your delicious homemade musk fudge!

Tips:

If the fudge seems too thick after an hour, continue cooking for short intervals (5-10 minutes) on high, stirring frequently, until it reaches the desired consistency.
For a richer flavor, consider adding a pinch of salt after removing the fudge from the heat.
Enjoy your first batch of musk fudge made in your new Westinghouse slow cooker!
