They are swift and straightforward to make, providing a delectable and wholesome alternative to traditional fried eggs. Moreover, they eliminate the hassle of cleaning up any messy water afterward.PREPARATION TIME:
PREP TIME: 3 minutes
COOK TIME: 5 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 5 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
2 large eggs
Oil spray (I prefer Ghee Butter)
Salt and pepper to taste
6 tablespoons hot water
Toast (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (177°C) for 3 minutes (using the air fry/air crisp setting).
- When the “ready” timer beeps, spritz some oil into each ramekin and spread it around the edges with your finger or a food brush.
- Pour 3-4 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin.
- Gently crack an egg into each ramekin.
- Place the ramekins directly into the air fryer basket/tray.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired yolk consistency. Refer to the poached eggs cooking chart below for guidance.
- Once cooked, remove the ramekins from the air fryer.
- Using a rubber spatula, gently release the eggs from the ramekins. If necessary, run a knife around the edge of the ramekins to loosen the eggs.
- Once the eggs are free, transfer them gently to a plate or place them on prepared toast. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and enjoy!
