INGREDIENTS FOR EASY AIR FRYER LOADED BAKED POTATO SLICES

  1. One huge russet potato
  2. One tablespoon olive oil,
  3. one teaspoon each of salt,
  4. one teaspoon crushed black pepper,
  5. one teaspoon garlic powder
  6. one cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese,
  7. two cooked and crumbled meat slices,
  8. one-fourth cup of sour cream
  9. 1 sliced green onion

INSTRUCTIONS FOR EASY AIR FRYER LOADED BAKED POTATO SLICES

  1. Set an air fryer timer for 12 minutes and preheat to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut the potato into slices that are ¼ inch thick while the air fryer is heating up.
  3. Add the potato slices to a medium-sized bowl and lightly coat them with olive oil. Next, include the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Once the potato pieces are well coated, stir.
  4. Spread the potato slices out in a single layer in the air fryer and cook for 12 minutes, turning them over halfway through.
  5. When the potatoes are done, take the basket out of the air fryer and top each slice with a little more cheese after adding some bacon bits and a pinch of cheese. After the cheese has melted, continue to air fry for one to two minutes.
  6. After taking the potato slices out of the air fryer, put them on a platter and garnish with green onions and sour cream.

Oven Instructions:

  1. Set oven temperature to 400 degrees F.
  2. Prepare the potatoes as mentioned previously.
  3. Arrange the potato slices on a baking pan in a single layer after preheating the oven. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the centre is soft and the outside is gently browned. Make sure you flip them over midway.
  4. When the potatoes are done, sprinkle cheese and bacon over them and return them to the oven to melt the cheese. Usually, this takes five minutes.
  5. Take out of the oven and garnish with green onions and sour cream.

NOTES:

  • To guarantee that the potato slices cook uniformly, make sure to slice them all to the same thickness.
  • Slices should be cut to a minimum thickness of ¼ inch; thinner slices will cook more quickly and solidify like potato chips.
  • Keep leftovers (without the sour cream) in the fridge for up to four days in an airtight container.
  • Warm again in the air fryer for one to two minutes at 360 degrees F.
  • Place the potatoes in a single layer within the air fryer basket. This will facilitate uniform cooking of the potatoes.
  • If you’d like, you can use the broil feature on your air fryer—like mine Instant Vortex Plus—to melt the cheese.I tested this recipe in my Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart air fryer.
  • The timing of this recipe will vary depending on the type of air fryer you are using. Make sure you check the potatoes around halfway through cooking. When the potatoes are tender in the inside and have a faint browning on the outside, they are done.
