Ground Beef Stroganoff
Ground beef stroganoff is prepared with seasoned ground beef and egg noodles simmered in beef broth and cream, accompanied by a few other simple ingredients for a delectable and easy dinner.
Ingredients:
- 12 oz Egg Noodles
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 3 tbs Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 stick Butter
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 3 cups Beef Broth (add more if needed)
- 1 tbs Kitchen Bouquet
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 1 tbs Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Fresh Parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- First, in a large skillet or pot, brown the ground beef, breaking it into pieces as it cooks. Drain the fat and season the meat with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Add the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Allow it to cook for about 2 minutes.
- Stir in the butter and, once melted, sprinkle in the flour. Stir frequently over medium-high heat for 2 minutes.
- Add the beef broth and kitchen bouquet.
- Incorporate the egg noodles, using a wooden spoon or spatula to ensure they are evenly distributed and almost completely submerged. Add more beef broth if necessary.
- Cover and let the noodles gently simmer in the sauce for 10 minutes.
- Remove the lid, stir in the heavy cream, and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if needed.
- Turn off the heat and stir in the sour cream.
- Allow the stroganoff to cool slightly, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and enjoy!
