Ground Beef Stroganoff

Ground beef stroganoff is prepared with seasoned ground beef and egg noodles simmered in beef broth and cream, accompanied by a few other simple ingredients for a delectable and easy dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz Egg Noodles
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 tbs Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 stick Butter
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 3 cups Beef Broth (add more if needed)
  • 1 tbs Kitchen Bouquet
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tbs Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. First, in a large skillet or pot, brown the ground beef, breaking it into pieces as it cooks. Drain the fat and season the meat with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Add the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Allow it to cook for about 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the butter and, once melted, sprinkle in the flour. Stir frequently over medium-high heat for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the beef broth and kitchen bouquet.
  5. Incorporate the egg noodles, using a wooden spoon or spatula to ensure they are evenly distributed and almost completely submerged. Add more beef broth if necessary.
  6. Cover and let the noodles gently simmer in the sauce for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the lid, stir in the heavy cream, and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if needed.
  8. Turn off the heat and stir in the sour cream.
  9. Allow the stroganoff to cool slightly, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and enjoy!
