Crunchy, buttery, and packed with pecans, our Classic Buttery Pecan Shortbread Cookies are a must-try for all cookie lovers!


  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans


1️⃣ Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

3️⃣ Add Vanilla and Dry Ingredients: Beat in vanilla. Gradually add flour and salt to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.

4️⃣ Fold in Pecans: Fold in chopped pecans.

5️⃣ Shape Cookies: Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet, flattening slightly.

6️⃣ Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
